Speaking Engagements 2025

It’s been a minute since I’ve gotten out to speak at events, but the second half of 2025 is going to be packed.

Houston SQL Server User Group

On Wednesday, July 9th, I will be in-person at the Houston Area SQL Server User Group to talk about dbatools. We haven’t decided exactly what shape this presentation will take, but we’ll have fun with it!

You may be thinking “traveling all the way to Houston just to present? Wow!” Well, not quite. I’m spending some time in Houston for other reasons, so I reached out to Paresh to ask if he had any meetings scheduled in July and if so, could I attend? He scheduled one and here we are. SQLFamily strikes again!

Ohio North Data Training

On Tuesday, August 5th, I will be presenting Documenting Your Work for Worry-Free Vacations at Ohio North Data Training. The Cleveland user group has always been amazing and I have a number of friends there whom I haven’t seen in far too long. This one will be a hybrid event; I’ll be presenting remotely, and attendance will be both in-person and online. I’m really looking forward to sharing the stories that set me on my journey of creating documentation - and enjoying the process.

PASS Data Community Summit On Tour: NYC

On August 19th, I will be in-person in Manhattan at the inaugural PASS Data Community Summit On Tour event, presenting Answering the Auditor’s Call with Automation. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Manhattan (19 years! Shea Stadium was still in use at the time - we did some touring around Manhattan before heading to NLDS Game 2) and while I won’t have much time to be a tourist, I will enjoy the opportunity to walk around town a bit on Monday afternoon.

PASS Data Community Summit

The big one! Sometime in the span of November 18-20, I will be presenting Answering the Auditor’s Call with Automation at PASS Data Community Summit as well. This will be my first time on stage at this event; I presented a session for the all-virtual event in 2021 but this will be my first in front of a live audience of this size and I cannot wait!

Summit is one of the largest in-person gatherings of Microsoft data platform professionals. Not only is it a tremendous opportunity to learn from the best (both in sessions and the famous Hallway Track), the networking opportunities cannot be beat. It career-changing! If you haven’t registered yet (and you really should!), use code ANDYLE25 when you do to get a discount.

This is going to be a busy few months preparing for and speaking at these events, and I can’t wait to see you all there!
